Motorsport
The Panasonic Toyota Racing team completed a four-day test at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the South of France today. Race drivers Olivier Panis and Cristiano da Matta, supported by test driver Ricardo Zonta, shared driving duties to cover an extensive technical programme for the team.

Olivier Panis

Laps completed: 69 (5.803km track) + 85 (3.853km track): in excess of 700km Working on: Endurance runs to conduct reliability checks and tyre testing

"It has been a good two-day test for me as we managed to complete the endurance test on schedule. It allowed us to put the car's reliability to the test and the outcome was very satisfactory. It is very encouraging as we get so close to start of the racing season."

Cristiano da Matta
Chassis: TF103/01 on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Laps completed: 51 (5.803km track) and 78 (3.853km track): in excess of 500km Working on: Endurance, reliability checks, general car set-up and tyre testing

"Everything went fine throughout my three days of running and we could work on pretty much all areas of the car. I feel much more familiar with the TF103 and my engineering team now. This is a real asset for me to make the most of the two test sessions left before Melbourne."

Ricardo Zonta

The fourth and last day was particularly enjoyable for me as I had my first runs in the TF103 and managed many laps. I was very positively impressed with the team's new car and look forward to driving it again."
