Panasonic Toyota Racing: Barcelona and Jerez Test
Barcelona Test 16-17 September / Day 1, Jerez Test 16-19 September / Day 1
Cristiano da Matta commenced a two-day session at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, whilst third driver Ricardo Zonta has been testing in Jerez for the first of four days at the 4.428km track.
Olivier Panis, meanwhile, will conduct a sole test day at Circuit Paul Ricard to conclude a busy week of testing on Friday.

"For the first of my two days in Barcelona this week, we completed a massive number of laps with no real problems. As usual with testing, we are putting all of our efforts into preparing ourselves as well as possible for the upcoming races. I have never driven at either Indianapolis or Suzuka and they are the final races of the season, so our testing work this week will be very important."

"I haven't driven at Jerez for almost three years, so I have spent some time this morning reacquainting myself with the track. We have managed quite a few laps today, concentrating on car set-up and more long-term development work, whilst Cristiano is over in Barcelona today and tomorrow doing work specifically for the last two races of the season in Indianapolis and Suzuka."
