The Panasonic Toyota Racing team has today announced that Puma AG will become the Formula 1 team's Official Supplier of Driver and Crew Footwear. Puma will additionally supply refuel team shoes, as well as race and test team travel shoes this season.

"We have known and used Puma shoes in the past," said Panasonic Toyota Racing Team Principal Ove Andersson, "and now we are very pleased to extend this partnership even further. I believe that this relation is fruitful for both sides."

Vice-Chairman of Puma AG, Martin GŠnsler added: "Toyota is the first F1 team in a long time to be based in Germany. We see this partnership as one way of addressing the huge market of German motorsport enthusiasts. I followed their entry into F1 last year with great interest, and was impressed by their very professional approach and successful first season. This year, with a complete new driver line up that combines the experience of Frenchman Olivier Panis and the youth of newly crowned CART champion, Brazilian Cristiano da Matta, and an extensive testing programme, I am convinced that we will see great results from Panasonic Toyota Racing."
